Project & Edcucation Report
The 2019-2020 year was a time of adaptation and innovation both as an organisation and the way we approach our Community Legal Education program.
Prior to the pandemic and the restrictions that followed we met with various community groups from schools, parents and seniors groups to deliver relevant presentations on youth related issues and life planning. We adopted a new style of presenting our life planning sessions and had open conversations with participants rather than formal presentations which allowed them to tailor the information to their needs.
We were fortunate to receive some funding from the Victorian Law Foundation to run an information session for Parents and Carers, exploring the topics of cyber bullying, sexting, and keeping kids safe online during Law Week. Although the plan was to have an in-person forum, with a panel discussion, we were forced to think on our feet and change to an online platform.
We look forward to being able to get back on the road and engaging with the community in the new year!
